Victor Mora has recently illustrated a children's book, El Guije de Manguitoa, (written by Elvia Perez, 2006 published in Havana email editora@uneac.co.cu).

It is a delicate tale that Victor hopes will begin with the children of Cuba, a renewal of nearly-lost legends of their roots in Africa.  For this work, he has been given two awards in the United States.

He was born Victor Francisco Hernandez Mora in the City of Habana in 1964.  A graphic designer and painter, his work has been placed in various national and foreign galleries, and has been shown in Project Cuba-Brazil-Germany in la Novena Bienal de la Habana.
