Painter, engraver, ceramist.  Nelson Dominguez Cedena was born in Santiago de Cuba in 1947.  He graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts in Havana, studied at the Cubanacan National School and taught there as professor and head of the Painting Department, and member of the Engraving Department. 

His studio-gallery in the heart of Old Havana was originally created solely to promote his work, but has also become a launch site for national and foreign artists, regardless of creed or generations.   

He works in oil, crayon, acrylics, gouache, cut paper, asphalt and powdered coal.

His works have been auctioned by Christies and Sothebys.
