Orestes Gaulhiac was born the 18th of May, 1960 in Santiago de Cuba.  He graduated from the National School of Design.  He makes his home and studio in Havana.

His personal exhibitions have been in Mexico City, Puebla, Mexico, the Canary Islands, Havana, Portugal, Los Angeles and Chicago.  His works can also be found in collective exhibitions and private collections in the United States, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, the Dominican Republic, Santiago de Cuba, Havana, Luxemburg and others.
